Toby: Was a victim of sexual abuse. His mother either committed suicide or was murdered. Had to live in a town where everyone thought he was a murderer. Got to sent to juvie.
Paige: Grew up in a hostile + homophobic household, which led to a lot of self-hate.
Caleb: In and out of foster homes. Very poor. Is a ghost, probably… I didn’t watch Ravenswood. Had to kiss Mona.
Ezra: Parents were too rich. Overcome with white guilt he was forced to cut ties with his too-rich parents because his upbringing didn’t mesh well with the tortured artist narrative he fell in love with in high school.
